Memorial Day Weekend

Candice and I at the game. I*m so proud of my senior paramedic!

Savannah*s room (we are cleaning and getting it ready for her)

Robert skiing at the lake. Savannah will enjoy watching daddy ski next year and eventually learn to ski herself.

Prayer Pal for Savannah from Aunt Patsy and Uncle Lindsay. Julia has the same one.

This week I am 21 weeks and i*m still feeling great! I*m starting to show more, FINALLY! I got on the scales this morning and to date I have gained 10 pounds, not bad for 5 months. I felt baby move this weekend. It was like a wave across my stomach, I LOVE IT! I also picked up her NC State outfit I had made for her from Cherry on Top boutique. It is adorable. I can*t wait to put it on her and show her off. Saturday we went to the lake for the family reunion with Robert*s family. Julia had all the attention, but that will be different next year with Landon and Savannah. We can*t wait to take her on her first boat ride with grandpa Hicks. We also celebrating one of my best friend*s 30th birthday with friends. She will also be having a little girl soon and I can*t wait for our girls to play with each other. Sunday we went to the ACC baseball championship to watch NC State play FSU. State did not win, but I got to see my cousin Candice in action. One of the players was knocked out and she was the first one on the field. I was so proud of my little cousin! Today we have been cleaning and enjoying our day at home. Tonight we celebrate daddy*s birthday. It*s been such a great weekend! I go to the doctor Wednesday, so I can*t wait to hear Savannah*s heartbeat! We are going to record it and make her a build a bear with her heartbeat. Some friends told me about that and I can*t wait for her to hear her own heartbeat.

Dierk*s Bentley concert

Dierk*s Bentley right before I got my autograph.

Savannah went to her first concert this week. We went to the Dierk*s Bentley concert at Coyote Joe*s with the Brafford*s and Abernathy*s. She is probably mad at me because Christine and I decided to stand right beside the speakers, but it was so worth it. Christine was an awesome friend and helped me get his autograph. It did feel weird though being at Coyote Joe*s and pregnant. My friend Nikki, who is due a week before me also found out she was having a girl this week. They are going to be BFF*s. :) Robert and Robert have also informed the parents at church with little boys they are not allowed near our girls. :) It*s so much fun waiting for Savannah to get here. Again, i*m feeling great, but tired after work. Robert has put me on a bedtime because he doesn*t think i*m getting enough sleep. He*s going to be such a great daddy. We went and registered this past Sunday for Savannah too. It was so much fun! We aren*t sure what we are doing with the nursery yet, but Robert will figure it out this week while I clean up the nursery and go ahead and start putting things in her closet. I can*t wait to begin decorating!

Graduation Day

This was taken right before I walked across the stage.

They just called my name, it*s official!

Mom and I in front of the Education building after graduation.

My grandparents, mom and Debbie enjoying the party!

This Saturday, I graduated with my Master's in Reading Education from UNCC. Robert said if Savannah, by the way, that*s baby*s name, went to UNCC she would go across the stage twice. :) How cute! It was great finally graduating. Now I don*t know what to do with my time. Family and friends came over later to celebrate with me. It was perfect. So far, everything has been great. I hope it continues!

It*s a . . .

GIRL!!!!! We went to the doctor yesterday to get our ultrasound and we are having a girl. I am ecstatic! It took the ultrasound tech. a few minutes to make sure, but we were sure by the time we left. We also came home with tons of pictures. Robert is scanning them in tonight so I can upload them to the website. Everything looked good. She was measuring around 19 weeks and due date was 10-5-10, but the ultrasound tech. said it was ok as long as it was still near a week to the original date. Robert*s excitement about having the baby on 10-10-10 is slowly dwindling. He*ll be ok though, he doesn*t have to paint baby*s room now. He is really excited! After we left the apt. we went to the mall and we walked around in a fog, no clue why we even went to the mall. We went to grab dinner and then headed home. I was exhausted b/c I hadn*t slept for 3 nights in a row. I had my National Board*s test on Monday, administering the EOG for the first time on Tuesday and finding out what baby is on Wednesday. Let*s just say, I slept good last night! I can*t wait to register, I already have so many ideas. This weekend I graduate with my Master's in Reading Education (Instruction and Curriculum). I*m so excited! Like I said in the last post, this has been an amazing year! Pictures to come, hopefully tonight!

17 Weeks

Mom and I on Mother*s Day
Isn*t she beautiful?!

Robert and I went to look at baby furniture to kill time before meeting up with friends. He found his favorite spot.

I went to the doctor this week and baby is doing well! The heartbeat was between 140-150. It didn*t take long for the doctor to find it this time. I measured 17 cm., so I was right on target. I had blood drawn, HATE THAT! They were testing whether there were any signs of problems with the baby. So far though, GREAT! We scheduled our apt. to find out what we are having. Robert is calling girl, b/c he doesn*t want to paint the room again, ha ha! I*m calling boy and so are my friends at work. We will see on Wednesday. This weekend is Mother's Day and mom is healthy and doing well. What an amazing year it has been so far, a baby and mom*s health is getting better. I couldn't ask for more. Wait, one thing, to pass my National Board*s this year. I take my test on Monday and am soooo nervous!

16 weeks

Sorry, I haven*t updated in a while. I*ve been busy finishing graduate school and being tired when I get home. Robert and I took his dad this weekend to the NC State vs. Georgia Tech baseball game. It was a lot of fun and State won the game. We got baby a onsie from the bookstore. They didn*t have a lot for gender neutral items. I go to the doctor Wednesday to have the tri test thing done and schedule for our ultrasound to find out what we are having. I can*t wait to hear the heartbeat again. People are finally telling me i*m starting to show. That*s makes me feel really good!
